By most accounts the UK economy seems to be echoing to the sound of credit being crunched and hatches being battened down. It's a sad fact of life that in these times a refocussing of resources and possible redundancies may have to be considered: and an even sadder fact of life that if these are not handled correctly the burdens and worries of wrongful or unfair dismissal claims can be added to the other thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to at this time. But (as the Bard also says) if it were done when 'tis done, then 'twere well it were done quickly (or at any rate properly).
